\ Overview

The Photographer/Videographer breathes life into editorial and interactive media with fresh, new concepts. Their experience goes beyond post-production execution, providing a vision for projects and collaborating with clients and internal team members to create engaging videos and content. They know when to follow best practices, and when to take a risk to create the best possible deliverable. And their impressive portfolio showcases their talent in photography, videography, and motion graphics, paired with strong communication, collaboration, and meticulous attention to detail, ensuring every project is executed flawlessly. 

This position requires traveling to the St. Cloud, Minnesota, area, as well as some national travel.

 

\ Responsibilities

Role-Specific

  • Strong photo and video editing skills, with a keen eye for detail that adheres to a client’s brand.
  • Strong understanding of the best formats, practices, and styles for social media platforms (e.g., LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook) and YouTube.
  • Create and tastefully incorporate motion graphics, including (but not limited to) lower-thirds, title animations, and on-screen graphics.
  • Prepare shot lists, collaborating with the internal team to ensure everything is captured that is needed.
  • Run video production and set up in-person sets, including (but not limited to) capturing interviews, b-roll, and anything else necessary for a successful project.
  • Run photoshoots, including (but not limited to) headshots, lifestyle, products, and brand shoots

Day-to-Day

  • Execute department/team initiatives that support client goals and have measurable outcomes (approximately 35 billable hours per week).
  • Stay current on video/photo technology trends, including AI tools.
  • Oversee design elements, from concept to final delivery, including sharing a creative vision through mood boards, sketches, research, and presentations. 
  • Coordinate production timelines and requirements and provide final files in various formats. 
  • Manage time and budget constraints across all projects. 
  • Work as a collaborative team member, contributing ideas, feedback, and input on visual strategies and brand interpretations to bring campaigns to life. 
  • Provide creative mentorship and design feedback to other team members that results in exceptional, award-winning creative work.
  • Strong presentation and interpersonal communication skills; ability to confidently and clearly give and receive feedback. 
  • Ensure quality, error-free work is presented to clients.

 

\ Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience as a videographer, photographer, or multimedia Producer, preferably in an agency setting.
  • Collaborative in ideation and feedback. Ability to articulate your creative process. 
  • Proficiency in the Adobe CC Suite with special emphasis on Premiere, After Effects, Lightroom, and Illustrator.

 

\ “Nice to Have” Skills 

  • Graphic design 
  • Experience with Photoshop, InDesign, and Figma
  • Familiarity with project management software such as Asana 
  • Ability to fly a drone (such as DJI Mavic, etc.) 
  • Broadcast experience
