\ About the Role

The Front-End Developer is skilled in transforming UI/UX designs into dynamic, accessible, and responsive websites. Build and optimize WordPress and HubSpot sites using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, HubL, PHP and leverage additional skills to enhance user experiences and functionality. This position not only writes code but makes the digital magic happen. Responsible for the user experience with every launch—from content to presentation to behavior layers. Guided by best practices, industry trends and an eye toward innovation, this position is a solid developer who can design, build and implement web technologies including enhancements and updates, analysis, design, testing, quality assurance and deployment. Your work translates clients’ brands to the digital space and helps achieve, and exceed, business goals.

\ Responsibilities

  • Execute department/team initiatives that support client goals and have measurable outcomes (approximately 32 billable hours per week).
  • Develop functional and appealing web-based applications. Maintain a mastery of expertise and experience in front-end development, usability, and accessibility; proficient in recommendations, innovations and implementations that exceed client expectations and results. 
  • Assist back-end developers with coding and troubleshooting.
  • Elevate clients’ brands with innovative concepts and ideas; maintain graphic standards and branding throughout the interface. 
  • Implement UI/UX best practices. Design user testing experiences that maximize feedback and learnings for continued improvement and growth. 
  • Oversee development of web architecture, enhancements, analysis, design, testing, and deployment.
  • Introduce new functionality and innovations; ensure collaboration with digital strategy, UI/UX, marketing automation, SEO and analytics.
  • Promote web development processes and best practices including design and code reviews and continuous integration. 
  • Maintain WordPress and HubSpot expertise, provide technical leadership and recommendations for innovations and improvements. 
  • Direct and perform quality assurance testing of key projects/initiatives and bug fixes.
  • Ensure websites adhere to key regulatory requirements and accessibility standards; optimize performance globally and on mobile devices. 
  • Drive innovation and optimization, piloting new technologies and approaches.  
  • Prioritize work; maintain budgets and timelines, balance billable hours with continuous improvement, research and learning. 
  • Respond to issues effectively; seeing, calling attention to and solving challenges in a practical and productive manner.
  • Demonstrate project management skills; ensure adherence to core processes and operating systems. 
  • Provide realistic time estimates for upcoming projects.
  • Interact with and learn from others to maintain a working knowledge of inbound marketing best practices.

\ Skills and Qualifications

  • Three or more years experience in a professional setting doing hands-on web development and/or web design. 
  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred in computer science, web development, design or related discipline.
  • A sharp strategist with the ability to break down complex ideas into manageable, and actionable, plans. 
  • A thorough and confident communicator and negotiator; able to articulate development needs and connect them to client growth. 
  • Able to manage multiple projects and details simultaneously with an ability to remain nimble in troubleshooting and presenting solutions.   
  • Passionate about maintaining process, quality standards, testing and results for teammates and clients. 
  • Passionate and driven; approaches every situation and conversation with a curiosity that brings out the best in colleagues and clients.   
  • Expert understanding of development technologies and languages, including HTML, CSS and JavaScript. Experience with React and other JS frameworks is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of HubL and PHP (preferred).
  • Proficient in web UI/UX programs such as Figma; experience with responsive and adaptive designs.
  • Ability to write standards-compliant code.
  • Basic knowledge of backend programming.
  • Experience working with content management systems, strong knowledge of UX/UI design and general understanding of SEO.
  • CMS experience in WordPress and HubSpot. Additional experience in ecommerce and other CMS platforms is a plus.
